Chairperson Friday, Supervisor Coble, Supervisor Wortner, Supervisor Furton, Supervisor Joy PUBLIC HEARING at 5 p.m. All persons interested are invited to attend and be heard in person or to provide written comments to the Town of Peshtigo prior to 2:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024 at the above address or via email to topclerk@townofpeshtigo.org. 4) James and Heather Shaffer at N2337 Schacht Road are seeking a zoning change from R-1 to A-2 to allow for a small hobby farm. SPECIAL BOARD MEETING 6) Verification of proper notice: Chairperson Friday verified. 7) Approve agenda: Coble motion to approve/Second by Wortner. Carried with 5 yes votes. 8) Public comment, limited to 15 minutes (in-person attendees only, limited to 3 minutes per person with no time donations from others, agenda items only), please be prepared to come forward to the table, speak clearly into the microphone, start by stating name & address a. Trygve Rhude commented on his hopes for the board to continue in litigation. 9) James and Heather Shaffer zoning change request: Wortner motion to approve/Second by Furton. Motion carried with 5 yes votes. Forward to County for approval. 10) James and Hope Matthews zoning change request: Coble motion to approve/Second by Wortner. Motion carried with 5 yes votes. Forward to County for approval. 11) Motion & roll call vote to go into CLOSED SESSION pursuant to Wis. Stat. §19.85(1)(g) for the purpose of conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which it is involved. Coble motion to enter closed at 5:07pm/Second by Joy. Motion carried with 5 yes in a roll call vote. a. Grant & Eisenhofer legal team discussion re: Tyco/JCI litigation b. Motion & roll call vote to return to Open Session: Coble motion to return to open session at 6:11pm/Second by Joy. Motion carried with 5 yes votes. 12) Action arising from Grant & Eisenhofer legal team discussion re: Tyco/JCI litigation: No action taken. Motion carried with 5 yes. 14) Update Ordinance Sec. 10-101: Coble motion to approve ordinance update/Second by Wortner. Motion carried with 5 yes. 15) CDBG-CV Town Hall improvement project bid process: To avoid a quorum, Chairperson Friday will transfer her involvement in accepting bids to Supervisor Joy. Motion by Coble to accept changes/Second by Wortner. Motion carried with 5 yes votes. 16) Approve additional election inspectors: Motion by Coble to approve Eileen Ceranski, Rick Dittrich, and Pam Daye as election inspectors for 2024-2025 election cycle/Second by Wortner. Motion carried with 5 yes. 17) Upcoming Meetings: Regular Monthly Board Meeting – Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 7 p.m. 18) Motion to Adjourn: Wortner motion to adjourn at 6:21pm/Second by Coble.
