TOWN OF PESHTIGO Fire Commission Minutes Thursday September 28, 2023 12:00 pm Noon Chairperson Karen Sylvester called the meeIng to order at 12:01pm Members present: Chairperson Karen Sylvester, Vice Chair Dave Buechler, Dale Edlbeck, and Jim Meyer. Not present: Lou Ann Seils, excused absence. 1.Approve Agenda: Edlbeck moIon to approve/Second by Meyer. MoIon carried with 4 yes. 2.Approve Minutes of May 11, 2023 Mee9ng: Meyer moIon to approve/Second by Edlbeck. MoIon carried with 4 yes votes. 3.Confirm reappointment of Fire Department Assistant Chief and Captains for 2-year terms: Edlbeck moIon to approve reappointment for following/Second by Buechler. MoIon carried with 4 yes: a.Rich Seils as Assistant Chief b.Derek MonneYe and Ryan Kass as Captains 4.Review and recommend approval of Fire Department 2024 Annual Budget proposal: Buechler moIon to approve the proposed Budget/Second by Edlbeck. MoIon carried with 4 yes. 5.Fire Chief report on recent ac9vi9es: Chief Folgert updated Commission members that the new engine is on track for June 2025. He noted that Lieutenant Joe Paoli will be up for reappointment soon, and Darius Dohl’s prior Lieutenant posiIon is currently vacant and will be filled soon. Folgert updated on roster status and that our Smoke Alarm Program is sIll going and alarms are available. 6.Set next mee9ng agenda/date, if needed: Next meeIng will be April-May 2024 Imeframe. 7.Adjourn: Meyer moIon to adjourn at 1:00pm/Second by Edlbeck.
