AMBERG TOWN BOARD MEETING Community Center Tuesday, June 20, 2013 6:00 pm Chairman Sagan called the mee0ng to order at 6:00 with Supervisor Campbell, Supervisor Magley, Clerk Boshen and two community members present. The board interviewed Shawn Sagan Jr. to fill the vacancy leD by Verlyn Giguere. He has obtained his temp CDL, will finish classes and give no0ce to his current employer and be ready to begin work full 0me aDer the 10th of July. There are no part-0me benefits. Full 0me benefits to be determined aDer a proba0onary period. Part 0me wage is currently $13.00. Full 0me will be $18 during proba0on aDer 90 days and schooling completed will increase. Supervisor Campbell mo0on to hire Sagan full 0me with second by Supervisor Magley. Amending the budget: Shawn has been talking to Lisle about transferring money from tax money market account. Amend the budget to $150,000 for surfacing down town roads, $20,000 for loader , $2500 to crack seal and seal coat community center parking lot. Addi0onal $172,500 on top of current budget to give a liXle wiggle room on top of roads etc. Have about $90,000 leD out of budgeted aDer NuX Rd and gravel crushing. Doesn’t include sand/salt mix, addi0onal patching, loader repairs, etc. If we raise the budget this much we can do the down town streets, and in front of shop/fire dept., Hancock, and Amberg St past rr tracks to DuXon and Cty V to DuXon. About $125,000 for downtown through Northeast Asphalt. (Barker road would not get done this year.) Supervisor Campbell made a mo0on to transfer $172,500 from Tax money market act to amend the town budget to do the seal coa0ng of parking lot, down town road etc as stated above with a second by Magley (need to confirm bids). Passed unanimously. Can’t count on other funding un0l it is received. Supervisor Campbell mo0on to do specific down town roads with NE Asphalt with hot mix this year with second by Magley. $80 grant to replace elec0on envelopes since redesigned and can no longer be used.
