Town Board Meeting — Minutes

Amberg Town Board Committee Meeting Friday, March 11, 2022, 6:00 pm Matt Mattison, Chairman called the committee meeting to order at 6:00 with Supervisor Magley, Supervisor Campbell, Clerk Boshen and Road Crew Chief Jim Parr present. Topic for discussion was the road work bids received for 2022 from Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, Scott Construction and Northeast Asphalt. Discussion was dealt with by potential project with the bids unanimously awarded as follows:  Crack and Chip seal bid on 2.2 miles of Black Sam Rd. was awarded to Fahrner Asphalt Sealers for $52,819.68 using CRS2 emulsion. The Amberg Road Crew was also they given permission could spend up to $3460 to rent the machine and purchase the supplies to crack seal one or more streets in town. If the project it successful they could crack seal a road again the following year. Jim Parr will follow up on the machine rental.  Blacktop bid for approximately 1000’ of Nutt Road from County V going west; Barker Road about 5200’ going east toward Wontor, and Wontor Road going north of Backwoods Bar campground road 5112’ was awarded to Scott Construction using cold mix asphalt.
