lacek, and Jerry Zais; a quorum was present.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA & PRIOR MEETING MINUTES
A motion to accept the Agenda for the August 10, 2026 meeting and to approve the Minutes of the July 13, 2026
PRTLU meeting with a correction for the shown meeting date and Sue Lane’s name was made by Jerry Zais /
Sue Lane; motion was approved by unanimous voice vote.
GENERAL PUBLIC WISHING TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION
Barb Karlen advised that the new signage at the Brick boat landing is effective and much appreciated.
EXPEDITED ITEMS
1) Jensen-McCarthy CSM – Kyle Zerbian informed the Commission that the owners intend to sell Lot #1 that
has the existing house and garage, and then to sell Lot #2 to the owner of CSM #5231, Lot #1 that abuts to the
north (Trevor Bohland). He said the large parcel, Lot #2, may be developed in the future. He was reminded of
the Lafayette ordinance that limits a cul-de-sac to 500 ft., and since Lot #2 is already 300 ft. south of 50th Ave.
that would leave a developer only 200 ft. of road inside this lot to access new parcels. A motion recommending
the Town Board approve the CSM was made by Jerry Zais / Sue Lane; motion passed by voice vote.
2) Bohland CSM – Kyle Zerbian explained the main purpose of this CSM is to provide access via Outlot #1 to
the new Lot #1, as well as to the Jensen-McCarthy CSM’s Lot #2. He went on to say the owner is not interested
in developing the lots. A motion recommending the Town Board approve the CSM was made by Mark Sedlacek
/ Jerry Zais; motion passed by voice vote.
3) Wissota Firefighters’ Association – Stephanie and Dennis Hutchison, representing the Wissota Firefight-
ers Association, explained the fire station’s Fall Festival is scheduled for Sept. 26, 2026, and they are requesting
$2,000 from the Commission for renting a number of inflatable play structures for kids, and if any funds are left
from that, to help pay for a live band. Commissioners expressed concerns about pedestrian safety due to park-
ing issues with a soccer tournament that is scheduled for the same time, as well as with the amount requested
compared to the previous instance. Following discussion, a motion to donate $500 to the Wissota Firefighters
Association was made by Mark Sedlacek / Jerry Zais; motion passed 5 – 3 on a roll call vote with Rob Brown,
Dave Carli, DeWayne Krumenauer, Mark Sedlacek, and Jerry Zais voting Yes; Scott Faris, Sue Lane, and Doug
Matthews voting No. A second motion to donate an additional $500 to the WFA was then made by Scott Faris /
Sue Lane; motion passed 5 – 3 on a roll call vote with Dave Carli, Scott Faris, DeWayne Krumenauer, Sue
Lane, and Doug Matthews voting Yes; Rob Brown, Mark Sedlacek, and Jerry Zais voting No.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Doug Matthews reported that the Room Tax account had no expenses in the past month and received 2nd quar-
ter Room Tax revenue of $9,279.65. The July 31, 2026 balance is $61,194.63. Outstanding commitments in-
clude $400.00 for an Eagle Scout project, and $334.00 for pickle ball wind screen slats. A motion to accept the
Financial Report was then made by Jerry Zais / Sue Lane; motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
OLD BUSINESS
1) Develop Future Projects List – Suggestions for projects were described by Commissioners, and included
kayak and paddle-board rentals at the Brick boat landing, installing a safer barrier at the edge of the slope along
the north side of Ray’s Beach Park, an RV dump site east of the Ray’s Beach Park parking lot, irrigation for two

ball fields, and a sidewalk along the south edge of Ray’s Beach Park up to the area of the former Lake Aire Mo-
tel. Ideas will be made into a list for the next meeting. No further action was taken by the Commission.
2) Request for Quotes form – A preliminary form suitable for both small- and large-scale projects was re-
viewed. Suggested revisions included the Town’s email address and wording of the PRTLU Strategic Goal. Ad-
ditional revisions may be brought to the next meeting. No further action was taken by the Commission.
NEW BUSINESS
1) PRTLU Commissioner Alternate – A motion recommending the Town Board appoint Tom Reuter as the
Alternate Commissioner was made by Doug Matthews / Mark Sedlacek; motion passed by voice vote with one
‘No’ vote. The Commission then thanked the other two applicants for their interest, and both names will be kept
in the event another opening occurs.
2) Ray’s Beach Swim Area Markers – Mark Sedlacek explained there are 5 marker buoys missing, and the
Town is asking the Commission to fund the replacements. He said the buoys have an estimated total cost of
$1,682.92. Also anchor cable and associated hardware will be needed. Following discussion on whether this is
actually a maintenance expense or not, a motion to purchase 5 buoys and anchor cable for $1,900.00 was
made by Mark Sedlacek / Sue Lane’ motion passed on a unanimous roll call vote.
3) Chippewa County Pine Harbor Forest – Jerry Zais reminded Commissioners that a citizen volunteers to
mow and snow blow the walking trails in this forest, and two years ago we presented him with a $100 gas card,
but gave him nothing last year. He then proposed a motion to give him a $100 gift card from Kwik Trip; the mo-
tion was seconded by Sue Lane, and passed by unanimous roll call vote.
