GENERAL PUBLIC WISHING TO ADDRESS THE COMMISSION
None
EXPEDITED ITEMS
1) “onX” Boat Landing Sign - Mr. Blake Tollefson explained his group’s plan for adding an 11” x 17” sign at
the Brick boat landing with lake and fish information; there will be no cost to the Town. Following discussion, a
motion recommending the Town Board approve placing a sign at the Brick Boat Landing and possible other
sites was made by Sue Lane / DeWayne Krumenauer; motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
2) Eagle Scout Project – Mason Grant explained his proposal for constructing and placing 10 wooden
benches at various locations on the disc golf course. He said he had prepared a materials list, taken it to a lum-
ber yard for a cost estimate, and they had offered to supply the wood at no cost; he was now seeking funding
from the Commission to cover the cost of the fasteners. A motion to contribute up to $400.00 for fasteners and
other materials as needed was made by Sue Lane / Mark Sedlacek; motion passed by unanimous roll call vote.
Fabrication is planned to begin later this week.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Doug Matthews reported that the Room Tax account had expenses in the past month of $3,877.00 for the wind
screen slats, and 2nd quarter Room Tax revenue of $19.25. The June 30, 2026 balance is $51,915.28. A mo-
tion to accept the Financial Report was then made by Jerry Zais / Sue Lane; motion passed by unanimous voice
vote.
OLD BUSINESS
1) Commissioner Resignation – Scott Faris reported that Jenna Hazelton’s resignation had been accepted
and the designated Alternate, Dave Carli, would be finishing her term. He said there are three current applica-
tions on file for the vacant Alternate position; making a recommendation to the Town Board will be on the next
meeting’s agenda. No further Commission action was taken.
2) 2026 Boat Parade – Sue Lane said she had seen postings about the Boat Parade on various social media,
and all seemed positive. Jerry Zais added that there were 27 boats that participated in the 2026 parade. No ad-
ditional Commission action was taken.
3) Sandra Harvey Rec Area Neighborhood Letters – Scott Faris informed the Commission that a letter had
been drafted, approved by the Town Chair, posted on the Town’s web site, and hand-delivered to the residents
whose lots abut the rec area. Jerry Zais said there should be something done to prevent bow deer hunting on
the rec area site, to keep users safe. Town workers will monitor the area to see if the dumping recurs. No fur-
ther Commission action was taken.
4) Pickle Ball Wind Screen – Mark Sedlacek verified that the Town will pay for the fencing upgrade, so the
Commission will pay only for the wind screen slats. The total project cost ended up at $3,877.00; since

$3,543.00 had been previously authorized, an additional $334.00 will be needed. A motion to approve an addi-
tional $334.00 for the pickle ball wind screen project was made by DeWayne Krumenauer / Mark Sedlacek; mo-
tion passed by unanimous voice vote.
NEW BUSINESS
1) Develop Future Projects List – Discussion regarding how to develop a list of future projects, prioritizing
them, should an overall strategic purpose statement be drafted first, etc. No action taken other than to bring
project ideas to the next meeting.
2) 2027 Rec Facilities Report – The report describing the condition and maintenance needs of the various rec
facilities and sites in the Town has been completed; upon approval, it will be forwarded to the Town Board for
their 2027 budget planning purposes. Following a review of the report, a motion to accept the report and for-
ward it to the Town Board was made by Mark Sedlacek / Scott Faris; motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
3) Quotes and Bids Requirements – Doug Matthews distributed information explaining recent changes in
Wisconsin municipal bidding requirements, based on the cost of the project; since the PRTLU Commission oc-
casionally requests quotes for services and goods, these requirements would apply. A standard “Request for
Quote” template form with all pertinent information pre-printed on it will be developed; it would have blank areas
for project-specific details to be filled-in. No further Commission action was taken.

the next fix will involve the sewage vents.
NEXT MEETING DATE - Meeting date is August 10, 2026 at 7:00 PM.
