$13,148.30. Rec Parking lot bill was paid to Senn Blacktop in the amount of $32,638.72. The resulting Room
Tax account balance is $61,161.16. A motion to accept the Financial Report was then made by Sue Lane /

OLD BUSINESS
1) Eagle Scout Project Funding – Scout Rhett Zwiefelhofer addressed the commission with approximate
cost for 6 wooden enclosures for the Lafayette Recreation Park garbage cans; tentative cost per enclosure was
proposed $230.50 plus $20 for a garbage can if needed; total cost is projected to be $1383.00 + up to $120.00
for garbage cans. (Breakdown of costs included with presentation). Commission asked if Rhett could purchase
most of the supplies before the end of 2025 as we would like to utilize funding from the General Use Account
and he and his father said they felt they could do this. A motion to provide up to $1500.00 out of the General
Use Account for the project was made by Mark Sedlacek/Sue Lane. No objections. Motion passed by
unanimous voice vote.
2) Sandra Harvey Rec Area Development Update – Scott Faris walked the trails today and reported that
the entry to the trails with gravel is very nice; the new sign is up and looks very nice; he noticed that there are a
couple of places that it looks like ATVs may be veering off the trails a bit. It was suggested that we utilize natural
options (such as downed trees) to block those areas. Residents in the area have seen both ATVs and UTVs on
the trails, and for the most part they have been respectful and travel on through.
3) Annual Rec Facilities Survey – Scott Faris stated that the Veterans Memorial and Recreation Building
surveys have not been submitted. Sue Lane stated that she is not proposing any new projects for that area for
2026, and Scott Faris will email his survey to Doug.

2) Sandra Harvey Recreation Area Dedication – Mark Sedlacek spoke with the family and they would like
the dedication to be held on November 28th. Set date for November 28th at 11:00 am at the entrance to the
park area. Scott cannot attend; Sue Lane, Mark Sedlacek stated they could attend for sure. It was
suggested that we ask Dave Staber to write the dedication as he knew her well. If Dave can’t attend the
ceremony, he can appoint a board member or commission member to read the dedication.
