EXPEDITED ITEMS
1) Lis CSM - Mr. Jason Hiess explained that the new parcels would have driveways entering onto 51st Ave.,
and that nothing in the plans has changed from what was described at the rezone presentation. Following ques-
tions, a motion recommending the Town Board approve the CSM was made by Jerry Zais / Sue Lane; motion
passed by unanimous voice vote.
2) Refuge Church Rezone - Scott Faris advised the Commission and petitioners that the Town had the follow-
ing concerns: eliminate driveways onto 166th Street, and that part of the existing street curve lies outside the
right-of-way and the Town would like to acquire that in the future. Following discussion that pointed out rezon-
ing to Local Commercial would be in compliance with the Comprehensive Plan, a motion recommending the
Town Board approve rezoning the parcels to Local Commercial was made by Jerry Zais / Sue Lane; motion
passed by unanimous voice vote.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Doug Matthews reported that the General Use account for September 30, 2025 was charged with three expen-
ditures for ATV trail-marking materials totaling $813.77, leaving a balance of $3,149.79. New 2nd Quarter
Room Tax revenue was received in the amount of .$289.78 . The resulting Room Tax account balance is
$80,651.58. The Rec Building parking area paving is completed, and will use $32,638.72 of the available bal-
ance. This will appear on the next month’s Financial Report, since the invoice arrived in October. A motion to

OLD BUSINESS
1) Finalize Town Parcel Name – Mark Sedlacek advised Commissioners that he had contacted Sandra Har-
vey’s survivors, and they agreed to naming the parcel after her. A motion was then made to name the 40-acre
parcel the Sandra Harvey Recreation Area by Doug Matthews / Sue Lane; motion passed by unanimous voice
vote.
2) Sandra Harvey Rec Area Development Update – Mark Sedlacek reported the ATV trail has been marked,
all the way out to 210th Street. Discussion followed regarding if additional efforts would be needed to keep users
on the actual trail, and that keeping signs in the 5 abutting rear yards was unnecessary. No further Commission
action was taken.
3) Annual Rec Facilities Survey – Some of the sites have yet to be surveyed by Commissioners, and a re-
minder to turn in completed surveys either via email or to the PRTLU mailbox in the Town office. No further
Commission action was taken.

4) Tourism Commissioner Update - The position remains open. Scott Faris noted there are three applicants
for the position, and potentially more. The Town Board would like a recommendation from the Commission prior
to them making an appointment. Due to the short time available to do so, the consensus was to schedule a
Special Meeting on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 6:00 PM; this meeting will be held in the main meeting room.
5) PRTLU Commission Applicant – Scott Faris reported an application for the Commission has been re-
ceived, and the procedure is that I the event of an opening, the current Alternate would be asked to fill it. This
would create an opening as an Alternate, which would be filled from any new applicants. No further Commis-
sion action was taken.
NEW BUSINESS
1) Eagle Scout Project Proposal – Scout Rhett Zweifelhofer addressed the Commission, explaining his pro-
posed project is to make wooden enclosures for the garbage cans located in the vicinity of the Town Hall and
rec fields. Following an impressive presentation, a motion recommending the Town Board approve the project
and appoint Mark Sedlacek as liaison was made by Scott Faris / Sue Lane; motion passed by unanimous voice
vote.
2) Chippewa Falls Chamber of Commerce Tourism Contract – Ms. Allison Wisniewski from the Chamber
gave a multi-media presentation of what they have been doing and are planning for the future, regarding pro-
moting tourism in the Town of Lafayette. Following discussion, a motion recommending the Town Board renew
the current contract with the Chippewa Falls Chamber of Commerce for the next three years was made by Mark
Sedlacek / Jerry Zais; motion passed by unanimous voice vote.

Area.

level, and may require action in coming years.
