Minutes prepared by Tracey Larson, Town Clerk Lake Holcombe Town Board Meeting Meeting Minutes June 18, 2025 Present: Brian Guthman, Jeff Anders, David Staudacher. Others Present: Tracey Larson, Ginna Young, Ben Jordan, Rhonda Mataczynski. Absent: Jim Mataczynski Call To Order: Meeting called to order by Guthman at 7:00 p.m. Minutes: Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Anders to approve the minutes from the May 8th, 2025 board meeting as presented. Motion carried. Treasurer Report: Motion by Anders, seconded by Staudacher to accept the treasurers report as presented. Motion carried. Chairman’s Report: Report given by Guthman regarding the Public Service Commission is having another open house at the Holcombe town hall on July 24th from 2 pm – 6 pm regarding the new transmission line that may possibly be going through part of Holcombe. Guthman stated he is receiving a lot of calls regarding stray dogs. Public Comment: None Approve Boating Ordinance with Changes: Discussion held. Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Anders to approve the changes regarding buoy placement to Chapter 11 Boating & Water Regulations in the Code of Ordinances. Motion carried. Accept donation from the Lake Holcombe Improvement Association and the Lions Club: Motion by Anders, seconded by Staudacher to approve the $20,000 donation from the Lake Holcombe Improvement Association and the $5,000 from the Holcombe Lions Club for removal and replacement of the playground equipment at the Wayside Park. Motion Carried. Adding a trail at Wayside Park: Discussion held. Guthman stated they would have to clear some brush and small trees and possibly make a boardwalk to complete a walking trail at the Wayside Park. Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Anders to approve making a walking trail at Wayside Park. Motion carried. Update on the status of the Cornell Area Fire Department Satellite Station: The process is moving forward as bids will be placed in the paper soon with the bid opening and bid accepting meetings taking place in July. Guthman has been working with Chippewa County and gathering information regarding unexpected expenses that occurred with storm clean up. Quit Claim Deed for Veteran’s Memorial Land: Tabled. Clerk’s Report: Building permits were reviewed. All alcohol, tobacco and operator license applications were reviewed. Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Anders to approve the renewal alcohol and tobacco licenses and the new and renewal operator licenses applied for the 2025-2026 licensing period. Motion carried. Approve Bills: Motion by Anders, seconded by Staudacher to approve the bills as presented. Motion carried. Adjourn: Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Anders to adjourn the meeting at 7:51 pm.
