Minutes prepared by Tracey Larson, Town Clerk Lake Holcombe Town Board Meeting Meeting Minutes May 8th, 2025 Present: Brian Guthman, Jeff Anders, David Staudacher. Others Present: Tracey Larson, Jim Mataczynski, Ginna Young, Ben Jordan. Call To Order: Meeting called to order by Guthman at 7:00 p.m. Minutes: Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Anders to approve the minutes from the April 10th board meeting as presented. Motion carried. Treasurer Report: Motion by Anders, seconded by Staudacher to accept the treasurers report as presented. Motion carried. Chairman’s Report: Guthman gave a report on the fire board and the satellite fire station, the County Plat of Holcombe Shores, public nuisance letters sent or being sent, and the Wayside bathrooms new roofs. Public Comment: P. Guthman, County Board member, announced who the new county administrator is and some changes in the county. She gave an EMS update and announced that the County Hwy Commissioner has announced his retirement. Sanitary District Board: Discussion held. Motion by Anders, seconded by Staudacher to approve the town board also sitting on the sanitary board. Motion carried. Date Change for Monthly Board Meetings: Discussion held. Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Anders to change the date to the third Wednesday of every month but keep the time at 7 pm. Motion carried. This will start as of the June meeting. Replacement of town hall front door: Discussion held. It was decided that the door should be replaced and Ben will seek estimates for doors with windows and without windows. Recycle Round Up: Discussion held. Attendance has declined greatly over the years and the expenses involved have significantly increased. Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Anders to discontinue the recycle round up for at least a year and re- evaluate to see how it effects the amount of garbage in the town ditches. Motion carried. Minutes prepared by Tracey Larson, Town Clerk Update on transfer of land at the Veteran’s Memorial: Discussion held. Staudacher stated he was told there was no need to have it surveyed again. A quit claim deed will be drafted to transfer the land. Clerk’s Report: ➢ Building permits were reviewed. ➢ Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Anders to approved the Class “B” Beer and Reserve “Class B” liquor license for The Thirsty Otter. Motion carried. ➢ Anders will take the Board of Review training before the first meeting of the Board of Review. Approve Bills: Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Anders to approve the bills as presented. Motion carried. Adjourn: Motion by Anders, seconded by Staudacher to adjourn the meeting at 7:48 pm.
