Minutes prepared by Tracey Larson, Town Clerk Lake Holcombe Town Board Meeting Meeting Minutes August 8, 2024 Present: Brian Guthman, Doug Olson, David Staudacher. Others Present: Jim Mataczynski Absent: Tracey Larson Call To Order: Meeting called to order by Guthman at 7:00 p.m. Minutes: Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Olson to approve the July 11,2024 minutes as presented. Motion carried. Treasurer Report: Motion by Olson, seconded by Staudacher to accept the treasurers report as presented. Motion carried. Chairman’s Report: Guthman gave a report on issues on 259th Ave, 266th Ave and 277th Street, concrete repair in front of the town hall, Recycle Round up, storm sewer by the school and the 295th paving project. Public Comment: None. Sue Leonard, Tourism Director from Chippewa Falls Area Chamber of Commerce – Room Tax and Short-Term Rental Ordinance: Leonard discussed Go Chippewa County and how the money from a Short-Term Rental ordinance can be spent with the 30/70 split. D. Olson is going to work with Leonard on the ordinance and room tax. Review estimates for landscaping at town hall and town shops: Estimates were reviewed. Received estimates from Chief’s Excavating for $5,820.00 and Hattamer Landscaping & Lawn Care for $8,545.00. Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Olson to accept the estimate from Chief’s Excavating for $5,820.00. Motion carried. Recycle Round Up / Garbage & Recycling Contractors: Table to get more information. GMC Sierra Truck Warranties: Discussion held. The board decided against taking out any more warranties on the truck. Veteran’s Memorial Committee’s Organization Structure and Committee Charter: Olson shared documents about the Veterans Memorial Committee Structure and Mataczynski shared information about Community Foundation of Chippewa County. Minutes prepared by Tracey Larson, Town Clerk Clerk’s Report: Building permits were reviewed. Motion by Olson, seconded by Staudacher to approve the three operator licenses for Big Minnow. Motion carried. Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Olson to appoint Alan Sabatke as an additional election worker for the remaining 2024-2025 election term. Approve Bills: Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Olson to approve the bills as presented. Motion carried. Adjourn: Motion by Olson, seconded by Staudacher to adjourn the meeting at 8:40 p.m. Motion carried.
