Minutes submitted by Tracey Larson, Clerk Town of Lake Holcombe Town Board Meeting Minutes April 11, 2024 @ Lake Holcombe Town Hall PRESENT: Brian Guthman, Doug Olson, David Staudacher. OTHERS PRESENT: Tracey Larson, Jim Mataczynski, Joy Dain CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order by B. Guthman at 7 pm. MINUTES: Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Doug to amend the agenda to add the March 25th minutes and approve the March 14th and March 25th meetings minutes. Motion carried. TREASURER REPORT: No report. OPEN SEALED ROAD BIDS: Guthman opened the bids and the board discussed. Motion by Olson, seconded by Staudacher to award the gravel bid to Shackleton Lime Service. Motion carried. Motion by Olson, seconded by Staudacher to award the pulverizing bid to Haas Sons Inc. Motion carried. Motion by Olson, seconded by Staudacher to award the paving bid to Monarch Paving Company. Motion carried. Motion by Olson, seconded by Staudacher to award the shouldering bid to Haas Sons Inc. Motion carried. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT: Guthman gave a report. The yard waste site is now open the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. He stated that the blue bridge on Cty Hwy M was closed for another inspection. PUBLIC COMMENT: None DISCUSS ABANDONING PART OF THE ROAD RIGHT OF WAY ON 290TH STREET: Discussion held about who owns it and the process needed for possible abandonment. Guthman will start looking into it and bring back to the next meeting. REVIEW AND ACT ON ESTIMATES FOR STAIRS AT THE TOWN HALL: The board reviewed the estimates. Olson requested that the bids be tabled until the next meeting. . Minutes submitted by Tracey Larson, Clerk CLERK’S REPORT: a. Building permits were reviewed. b. Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Olson to approve the Class “B” and “Class B” liquor license applied for by Shanklin’s East Bay Lodge. Motion carried. Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Olson to approve an operator license for Phat Bob’s. Motion carried. c. Motion by Staudacher, seconded by Olson to set the Class B Reserve Liquor license price at $10,000. Motion carried. d. Guthman will take the Board of Review training for the 2024 year. e. Discussion on projects to designate the remaining ARPA funds. APPROVE BILLS: Motion by Olson, seconded by Staudacher to approve the bills as presented. Motion carried.
