Town of Lake Holcombe Board Meeting Minutes February 8th, 2024 @ Lake Holcombe Town Hall PRESENT: Brian Guthman, Doug Olson, David Staudacher. OTHERS PRESENT: Tracey Larson, Ben Jordan, Ginna Young, Larry Becker, Pam Guthman CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order by Chairman Guthman at 7 pm. MINUTES: Motion by Dave, seconded by Doug to approve the minutes from the January 11, 2024 meeting. Motion carried. TREASURER REPORT: Motion by Doug, seconded by Dave to accept the treasurers report as presented. Motion carried. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT: The town received a monetary donation from a resident who thought the town knocked her mailbox down so they replaced it but then she discovered that it wasn’t the town. We will be setting up an account at the Bureau of Correctional Enterprises so Ben can order road signs through the program. The residence on 259th Ave has not taken care of the situation yet. There is a new contact person from the DNR handling it. Brian attended the Fire Board meeting. There is a new fire truck and it will be parked in Holcombe. Discussion was held regarding the Culvert/Small Bridge Program and an agreement with Delmore Consulting was reviewed. Motion by Doug, seconded by Dave to hire Delmore Consulting to conduct the inventory phase of the WisDOT 6-20 foot Culvert/Small Bridge program. Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT: Pam Guthman announced that she is running for County Board Supervisor District #2. She spoke about her background and what she wanted to do for District #2. SANITARY DISTRICT UPDATE: Update was given by Brian. . CORNELL AREA AMBULANCE SERVICES RESOLUTION 0001: Discussion held. Motion by Dave, seconded by Doug to approve the Cornell Area Ambulance Services Resolution. Motion carried. ESTIMATES FOR CONSTRUCTION WORK FOR TOWN HALL AND TOWN SHOPS: DERNOVSEK BID – remove front steps and redesign, remove and replace the stairs at the side of the building, remove the stairs at the back of the building and tuck pointing where needed. Tabled until next meeting to wait for a second estimate. FLAMBEAU DOOR – Resealing doors and new door for town shop and replace door on the back of the town hall. Motion by Doug, seconded by Dave to accept the bid by Flambeau Door. Motion carried JESSE JONES CONSTRUCTION – Spray foam the ceiling in the town shop. $1.75 sq/ft EAU CLAIRE INSULATION – Spray foam the ceiling in the town shop. $8 sq/ft Motion by Doug, seconded by Dave to accept the Jesse Jones Construction estimate for insulating the town shop. Motion carried. HOLCOMBE AREA VETERAN’S MEMORIAL MOU AND MONTHLY BILLS: No action CLERK’S REPORT: Discussed Open Book and Board of Review tentative dates. Tracey will report back to Prochnow Assessing. APPROVE BILLS: Motion by Dave, seconded by Doug to approve the bills as presented. Motion carried.
