Town of Lake Holcombe Board Meeting Minutes December 14, 2023 @ Lake Holcombe Town Hall PRESENT: Brian Guthman, Doug Olson, David Staudacher. OTHERS PRESENT: Tracey Larson, Ben Jordan, Ginna Young, Larry Becker, ABSENT: Jim Mataczynski CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order by Chairman Guthman at 7 pm. MINUTES: Motion by Doug, seconded by Dave to approve the November 9th meetings minutes. Motion carried. TREASURER REPORT: Jim was absent but sent report via email ahead of the meeting. Brian had a letter from SCCU that stated the 17 month CD renewal could be waived for renewal at 11 months. Motion by Dave, seconded by Brian to accept the treasurers report as presented. Motion carried. Doug abstained. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT: Gave an update on the new personal property tax process and still cannot find a lawyer to write a Mobile Home Park ordinance regarding it. Reminded the public not to push snow across the road and stated that the Town of Birch Creek said they are going to start handing out fines to people they see doing it. PUBLIC COMMENT: Larry Becker spoke about agenda items. CHIPPEWA COUNTY HUMANE ASSOCIATION CONTRACT: Reviewed contract. Motion by Dave, second by Doug to approve the 2024 Humane Association Contract. Motion carried. SANITARY DISTRICT UPDATE: The entire board has resigned but Tracey has agreed to stay on until a replacement can be found. One person contacted us from the letter that was sent out. Brian and Tracey met with her and she will join us on the board. The board will decide how to proceed here on out. ARPA FUNDS REQUEST: Ben and Jamie made a list of maintenance and improvements that need to be done with the Town Hall and the Main Shop. Motion by Doug, second by Dave to move forward with requesting estimates for the projects on the list. Motion carried. . APPOINT 2024-2025 ELECTION WORKERS: Motion by Brian, seconded by Dave to appoint Susan Staudacher, Sue Frei, Kate Rihn, Nancy Seebruck, and Pam Olson for the new 2024-2025 election term. Motion carried. CLERK’S REPORT: Three operator licenses were applied for by Phat Bob’s. All background checks were good. Motion by Doug, second by Dave to approve all three licenses. Motion carried. APPROVE BILLS: Motion by Dave, seconded by Doug to approve the bills as presented. Motion carried. ADJOURN: Motion by Doug, seconded by Dave to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
