Town of Lake Holcombe Board Meeting Minutes November 9, 2023 @ Lake Holcombe Town Hall PRESENT: Brian Guthman, Doug Olson, David Staudacher. OTHERS PRESENT: Tracey Larson, James Mataczynski, Ginna Young, Pam Guthman, Buck Steele CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order by Chairman Guthman at 6:55 pm. MINUTES: Motion by Doug, seconded by Dave to approve the minutes from October 12 and October 18 meetings. Motion carried. TREASURER REPORT: Motion by Doug, seconded by Dave to accept the treasurers report and approve the cash out of the CD expiring in November. Motion carried. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT / INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: a) TRI Entitlement for 2025: They required a 5-year road plan for the application. Brian presented one to the board it was reviewed. Motion by Doug, seconded by Dave to approve the 5-year road plan. Motion carried. b) Reminder of snow plowing rules: No parking on the roads starting November 1st from 2am to 6am. No plowing across the roads or over culverts. c) Chippewa County Hwy Department report: Brian showed the board the report. SANITARY DISTRICT UPDATE: A new pump was ordered for lift station #21. The DNR will recheck their Non-Compliance checklist at the time of the next audit which will be in 2024. A letter was sent out to all sanitary users about the need for board members and officer positions. One lady reached out to Brian for the treasurer position. Brian will contact her for a date to meet and discuss. APPROVE 2024 BUDGET: Motion by Doug, seconded by Dave to approve the 2024 budget with the approved changes from the public budget hearing. Motion carried. RESOLUTION FOR THE OUTDOOR RECREATIONAL PLAN: Motion by Doug, seconded by Dave to adopt the Chippewa County Outdoor Recreation Plan as the official comprehensive outdoor recreation plan for the Town of Lake Holcombe. Motion carried. UPDATE ON SECOND FIRE STATION: A driveway permit was applied for and bids were gathered and opened. Now Brian got notified that a driveway permit was not granted due to wetlands. Now a delineation study is needed but that can’t be done until late spring or summer. CLERK’S REPORT: Building permits were reviewed. 1. Motion by Doug, seconded by Dave to approve the operator licenses for Cookies Holcombe Inn. Motion carried. 2. Motion by Dave, seconded by Doug to approve the operator licenses for The Big Minnow. Motion carried. 3. Motion by Doug, seconded by Dave to approve 2 renewal operator licenses for Phat Bobs and to decline a third operator license application due to the background check. Motion carried. APPROVE BILLS: Motion by Dave, seconded by Doug to approve the bills as presented. Motion carried. ADJOURN: Motion by Doug, seconded by Dave to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
