Town of Lake Holcombe Board Meeting Minutes September 14, 2023 @ Lake Holcombe Town Hall PRESENT: Brian Guthman, Doug Olson, David Staudacher. OTHERS PRESENT: Tracey Larson, Jim Mataczynski, Ben Jordan, Buck Steele, Joy Dane. CALL TO ORDER: Meeting called to order by Chairman Guthman at 7 pm. PLEDGE WAS RECITED MINUTES: Motion by Dave, seconded by Brian to approve the previous meetings minutes. Motion carried. TREASURER REPORT: Motion by Dave, seconded by Brian to approve the treasurers report. Motion carried. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT: Ben and Zehe are working on clearing the road right-of-ways. The culvert on 271st St by the Lion’s Club Park will be placed soon. The raft and buoys at the Wayside Beach area have been removed for the year. There has been no change in the property on 259th Ave – the DNR is taking legal action. Brian attended the Ambulance board meeting where they stated that the yearly fees will be increasing in 2024 from the current $12/resident to $16/resident. Brian has been asked about using the mulch at the yard waste site. This is still available to residents so the site will be open on September 23 at the normal hours of 9am to 12pm. There will be an attendant who will load mulch for residents into TRAILERS ONLY. The town hired a second full time patrolman who will start on or around October 2, 2023. PUBLIC COMMENT: No public comment SANITARY DISTRICT UPDATE: Buck stated that all requested actions have been sent to the DNR. If there is anything that is not up to their requirements, they will be addressed at that time. OLD LANDFILL SITE: Rusk County Abstract and Title has drawn up a purchase agreement and recommended that the town obtain title insurance. Closing date will be set once we receive the title insurance back. CLERK’S REPORT: Building permits were reviewed. APPROVE BILLS: Motion by Doug, seconded by Dave to approve the bills as presented.
