2025 BOARD OF REVIEW Tuesday, July 22, 2025 – 1:00 p.m. Sevastopol Town Hall, Community Room 4528 State Highway 57, Sturgeon Bay, WI Call to Order. Town of Sevastopol Board Chairman, Dan Woelfel, called the meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. Establish Quorum/Roll Call/Proper Notice. In attendance were Supervisor Mark Haen, Supervisor Jeanne Vogel, Chairman Dan Woelfel, Supervisor Linda Wait, and Supervisor Trent Olsen. Also in attendance were Attorney Amy Sullivan, Wisconsin Certified Assessor Eric Vallafskey, and Clerk/Treasurer Amy Flok. Other: None The clerk confirmed verification of proper notice. Selection of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson. Motion by Vogel and second by Haen to nominate Olsen for Chairperson of the 2025 Board of Review. Motion by Wait and second by Olsen to nominate Woelfel for chairperson. Motion by Vogel and second by Haen to nominate Wait. As a result of vote, Olsen is elected Chair of the 2025 Board of Review. Motion by Haen and second by Vogel to nominate Woelfel as Vice Chair. Motion by Woelfel and second by Wait to nominate Vogel as Vice Chair. As a result of vote, Vogel is elected Vice Chair of the 2025 Board of Review. Verification of Training. Clerk verifies, as offered by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue and Wisconsin Towns Association; affidavits on file as to Board of Review member training completed by: Linda Wait, Mark Haen, and Jeanne Vogel (qualified through 2025). Verification of 2025 Assessment Roll & Assessor Oath Chairman Woelfel verified that proper notice had been provided, mandatory training requirements had been met, that each objection shall be written and complete, and that all persons testifying shall be sworn. Eric Vallafskey, Wisconsin Certified Assessor, of Associated Appraisal Consultants, Inc., Appleton, Wisconsin, was duly sworn by the Clerk. Mr. Vallafskey verified the 2025 assessment roll and the Assessor’s final report for 2025, with open book changes having been incorporated therein. Assessor substantiates credentials, Assessor’s final report 2025 and Assessor’s affidavit. Motion by Olsen and second by Haen to recess. Motion carried and the Board of review was recessed at 1:10 p.m. Motion by Vogel and second by Haen to return to session at 3:00 p.m. 2025 Board of Review – Hearing of Objections. None. Adjourn.
