Town of Sturgeon Bay Broadband Internet Committee Meeting Door County Library March 7, 2024 Minutes 1. Call to Order : The meeting was called to order by David Wood at 1:32 PM. 2. Establish quorum : Committee members present: Jeff Feuerstein, Randy Graf, and Cathy Eckers. Virtual: David Wood. Absent: Pam Kraase. Also present: Hugh Zettel and Jessica Hatch (virtual). 3. Adopt agenda: A motion to adopt agenda made by Feuerstein and seconded by Graf. Motion carried. 4. Approve minutes: A motion to approve minutes as amended for the February 22, 2024, meeting made by Graf; seconded by Feuerstein. Motion carried. 5. Correspondence: * AT&T revised contract (see below). * Jessica Hatch indicated she had hoped there would be word on the grant awards for the Capital Projects Fund by the time the meeting began. However, at present, no word has been received. 6. Public comment: None. 7. Old business: a. Discussed contract with AT&T. AT&T had responded to the contract amendments proposed by the committee and town attorney shortly before the meeting convened, preventing full analysis. The preliminary consensus was that this version had no obvious “show stoppers,” but that additional review was needed before recommending this version be signed by the Town Board. The contract will again be forwarded to the town attorney, Randy Nesbitt, for review prior to the Broadband meeting on March 21, 2024. When all issues are resolved, it will be forwarded to the town board for action, hopefully in time for the April 8th, 2024 town board meeting. b. Review address verification spreadsheet and policy. Discussion held on the changes and corrections made to the BSL list. The edited drop list was sent to the committee earlier in the week. Corrections as needed will continue to be made and shared. 8. New business: a. Q & A updates and other outreach. Wood has not been able to update the Q&A posted on the town website. 9. Matters to be placed on a future meeting agenda: a. Public education/outreach plan during construction. The committee would like to add a link from the town website where residents would be able to get updates and current status on the project. 10. Next meeting date: Thursday, March 21st, 2024 , from 3:00 to 5:00 pm in meeting room 1 of the Door County Library. 11. Motion to adjourn made by Feuerstein ; seconded by Graf. Motion carried.
