July 2026 Town Meeting Minutes

July 22, 2026 Town of Luxemburg Meeting was called to order by Chairman Linda Jonet at 7:00 PM. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call: Linda Jonet, Matt Haen, Leonard Wachal, Jerry Zellner, Edith Lauscher, Kim Bosman Community Present: None Public Comments: None Approval of the July meeting minutes. Leonard moved with a second by Matt to approve. Motion carried. 2 ayes, 0 nays ---Treasurer Jerry Zellner stated that as of June 30, 2026 the town has a checking balance of $2,919.31, Savings of $124,061.99 and the CD of $205,083.65 for a total of $332,064.95. ----Zoning Administrator Edith Lauscher reported receipts; $75.00 Richard Barret-Building Permit, $75.00 Brent Weidner-Building Permit Total = $150.00. Old Business: None New Business: LRIP Program – Cost to redo Hillside Rd is $215,000 and the state would pay $17,140.55 leaving the balance of $197,859.45. At this time, this project is on hold. Brian @ Scott Construction will provide numbers to redo River and the County will assist in applying for LRIP funds on that project. Scott Construction – Will start end of next week. July 1 Wind – There were trees down on Hawthorne and Hillside. The county cleaned them up. Election – August 11 Road Sign – Stop ahead sign on River Rd ¼ mile east of Cty H needs to be replaced.
