January 15, 2025 Town of LuxemburgMeeting was called to order by Chairman Linda Jonet at 7:00 PM.The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.Roll Call: Linda Jonet, Ken Dart, Leonard Wachal, Jerry Zellner, Edith Lauscher(excused), Glenda DaulCommunity Present: Jason Hujet, Jason Rollin, David ZellnerPublic Comments: Approval of the December Meeting Minutes: Ken moved with a second by Leonard to approve. Motion carried. 2 ayes, 0 naysReports:Treasurer Jerry Zellner stated that as of December 31, 2024 the town has a checking balance of $8,395.21, ARPA is $45,358.21, and the CD of $192,462.17 for a total of $246,215.59. The ARPA account will be closed out as we have already used the money on last year’s projects. Leonard made a motion to move it to a 5- or 6-month CD and then put in checkbook to pay for road improvements with a second from Ken. Motion carried. 2 ayes, 0 naysZoning Administrator Edith Lauscher reported to Linda that Paulie’s Chop Shop was interested in putting up a permanent sign but has residence on each side. That would be up to the Planning Commission.New Business:Reviewed the spreadsheets for 2024 income and expenses and draft of 2024 final report.There was an inquiry into renting the hall. The town farmland is available for rent for 3 years. It will be put in the county paper to run on February 1, 8 and 15th.Delmore Consulting quoted us $3,500 to do the 2025 Pacer Rating on the town roads. Linda has done it in the past but the system is hard to work in and Delmore has all the equipment to do it properly both with the road and in the State system. Ken made a motion to have Delmore due our Pacer rating this year with a second by Leonard to approve. Motion carried. 2 ayes, 0 naysBill VanSistine’s vehicle has been moved out of the right of way. Perry Baenen has the end caps for the culvert on Janet Zehren’s property and has permission until April 1st to complete it when the weather is better.Next monthly meeting is Wednesday, February 26th.Motion to approve the monthly bills: Leonard moved with a second by Ken to approve.
