June 25, 2024 Town of LuxemburgMeeting was called to order by Chairman Linda Jonet at 7:00 PM.The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.Roll Call: Linda Jonet, Ken Dart, Leonard Wachal, Jerry Zellner, Edith Lauscher, Glenda DaulCommunity Present: Public Comments: Sheriff Joski submitted an email concerning a four-way stop at Heritage and Valley Road. Linda Jonet will call and speak to him on this matter. You will find his response following the meeting minutes. Thank you!Approval of the May Meeting Minutes along with the May 23rd, ,29th and June 3rd Plan Commission Meeting minutes: Leonard moved with a second by Ken to approve. Motion carried. 2 ayes, 0 naysReports:Treasurer Jerry Zellner stated that as of May 31, 2024 the town has a checking balance of $137,215.83, ARPA is $77,350.62, and a CD of $186,883.72 for a total of $401,450.17Zoning Administrator Edith Lauscher reported received $400 for each of the following zoning meetings: Zimmer, Rank, Abts and Barrett. Building permits from Tim Massart for addition to shop of $25 and Randal & Linda Tupa of $175.New Business:Approval for beer/liquor licenses for The Rendezvous and the Luxemburg Sportsman Club Inc.: Leonard moved with a second by Ken to approve. Motion carried. 2 ayes, 0 naysThe 4 culverts on the B/K Townline Road are done.There are 11 bridges/culverts in the Township per the completed Delmore Consulting report.Rendezvous Road project is completed.Reminder that people shooting off fireworks require a Fireworks Permit which doesn’t cost anything. If they do not have one and shoot fireworks illegally, they could be fined up to $1k/shot.
