November 2023 Town Meeting Minutes

November 21, 2023 Town of Luxemburg Meeting was called to order by Chairman Linda Jonet at 7:00 PM. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call: Linda Jonet, Ken Dart, Leonard Wachal, Jerry Zellner, Edith Lauscher, Glenda Daul Community Present: Public Comments: Approval of the October Meeting Minutes: Ken moved with a second by Leonard to approve. Motion carried. 2 ayes, 0 nays Reports: Treasurer Jerry Zellner stated that as of October 31, 2023 the town has a checking balance of $78,346.05, ARPA $77,894.63, and a CD of $180,681.08 for a total of $336,921.76. We have received in November the Bridge Aid of $6,687.25 and $8,901.38 along with the Shared Revenue of $34,452.36 Zoning Administrator Edith Lauscher reported she inspected the trailer on the Bruce Barbiaux land which is A-1 and that allows trailers with wheels which his trailer does have. Building permits were issued to Dennis Miesler for a garage and Daniel Estel for an inground pool. Kelly Froehlich will be getting a sign permit. New Business: Motion to approve the 2024 Highway Expenditures of $254,245: Leonard moved with a second by Ken. Motion carried. 2 ayes, 0 nays Adopt raising the salaries for Town Supervisors, Treasurer & Zoning Administrator by $200 as discussed by Bob Weidner(11-22-2022): Leonard moved with a second by Ken. Motion carried. 2 ayes, 0 nays Motion to adopt the Town Tax Levy of $224,378 for 2024: Leonard moved with a second by Ken. Motion carried. 2 ayes, 0 nays Motion to adopt the Town Budget which includes the General Fund Expenditures and General Fund Revenues: Ken moved with a second by Leonard to approve.
