March 2022 Town Meeting Minutes

March 23, 2022 Town of Luxemburg Meeting Meeting called to order by the Town Chairman Linda Jonet at 7:00 PM The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call: Linda Jonet, Ken Dart, Leonard Wachal, Jerry Zellner, Edith Lauscher, Glenda Daul Guests: Kim Hardtke, David Zellner, Gary Daul Public Comments: Kim Hardtke is running for Kewaunee County Judge and spoke of her qualifications for the job. David Zellner had questions about the overflow water from the new road in the village and the effect on his land. Order of Business: Approval of the February Monthly Meeting notes - motion made by Leonard Wachal, 2nd by Ken Dart to approve. 2 ayes, 0 nayes. Motion carried. Treasurer’s Report: As of 2/28/22 - $115,468.65 in checking, $178,324.73 in one Money Market and $59,606.82 in another Money Market. Personal Property has not been paid for by Thumb Knuckles, The Rendezvous and Scott Weidner Construction. Zoning Report: Edith Lauscher reported that James & Judy Theys will be building a shed. She received inquiries from Dean Ulllman, Brad Bosman, Lloyd Zellner (re-zoning), Laurel Ettien and the Aultman’s. New Business: Stop sign by Dorner Lane was replaced and the sign by David Arndt’s on Heritage will be fixed after the thaw. There were numerous other signs noted that will be fixed or replaced soon. Riding of the roads for inspections will be April 6th at 8:30. Review of creating an ordinance for Wedding Barns and Venues was discussed. Motion to approve monthly bills made by Ken Dart, 2nd by Leonard Wachal. 2 ayes, 0 nayes. Motion carried. Motion made at 7:44 PM to adjourn by Leonard Wachal, 2nd by Ken Dart. 2 ayes, 0 nayes.
