December 2022 Town Meeting Minutes

December 22, 2022 Town of Luxemburg Meeting Meeting called to order by the Town Chairman Linda Jonet at 7:00 PM The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call: Linda Jonet, Ken Dart, Leonard Wachal, Jerry Zellner, Edith Lauscher, Glenda Daul Community Members: Public Comments: Mike Wickman sent an email and requested a hidden driveway sign be put on the top of the hill on Lowell Road going north. Traffic does not slow down and there are people backing up trailers into driveways on the down slope. The county is working on putting up a hidden driveway sign. Order of Business: Approval of the November Monthly Meeting and November 15thPlan Commission Minutes - motion made by Leonard Wachal, 2nd by Ken Dart to approve. 2 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. Treasurer’s Report: As of 11/30/22 - $89,285.91 in checking, $178,751.68 in one Money Market and $77,132.57 in another Money Market where $58,859.52 was transferred out to the checking account to cover ARPA expenses paid. Zoning Report: Edith Lauscher reported Fred Bredael requested another fire number for his rental at his current location. He will be required to pay for the sign and the new fire number for the rental is 2365. David Jauquet is looking to acquire an additional 2.5 acres to his home. Paperwork will be sent to him. New Business: Fire and Rescue dues are $76,085.84. We will pay $68,085.84 this year and $8,000 in January. Motion to approve monthly bills made by Leonard Wachal, 2nd by Ken Dart to approve. 2 ayes, 0 nays. Motion carried. Next monthly meeting is Wednesday, January 25, 2023.
