May 26, 2021 May 2021 Town of Luxemburg Meeting Meeting called to order by the Town Chairman LindaJonet at 7:00 PM The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Roll Call: Linda Jonet, Ken Dart, Leonard Wachal,Gerald Zellner, Edith Lauscher, GlendaDaulGuests: Larry Stahl, Ken Rass, Kelly Froehlich Order of Business:Approval of the April 2021 meeting minutes - motionmade by Leonard Wachal, 2nd by Ken Dart toapprove. 2 ayes, 0 nayes. Motion carried Treasurer’s report: $142,796.20 in checking and $177,614.26in the Money Market.Received the recycling grant of $1,222.04 and thecredit from the state for personal propertyof $2334.18. Outstanding personal property tax isstill required from Praxair Distribution Incof $20.14. Zoning Report:Edith Lauscher reported Kevin Wery was looking tochange land to A2 - 5 acres to 34.99 acres.Under 5 acres, permits are required. A building permit would be required only after a varianceapproval by the Zoning Board to combine the acreage.Jon Romdenne will not need a building permit for theslab he wants in his backyard to put an aboveground pool on. Old Business:Our new websitewww.townofluxemburgwi.comis up andrunning! New Business:Rendezvous of Luxemburg applied for renewal of tavernpermit. Nothing received from theSportsman Club. Casco Sand and Gravel applied forrenewal of mining permit. Nothingreceived from Terry Phillips Mining.Open Bids for Summer Road work has been posted. Meetingfor Opening the bids is 5 PM onJune 10, 2021.Received estimate for maintenance work on Valley Roadbridge of $10K. Linda will check withTodd Every on bridge aide.The damage to Lowell Road is $4,400 and Larry Stahl feels it is not his fault the edge brokebecause the cone was in the road since March. Hisgrandson, Troy Enderby, is the hauler. Larrywill check with Troy to see if he has liability insurance. Linda stated if the $4,400 is paid, theTown would fix the whole road which will cost about$40K.Kelly Froehlich asked the Board about putting in aone way single driveway from County N toRendezvous Rd in the front of the building and a LEDsign in the 100’ triangle of the roadway. They will be fixing up the east side of the building, digging out and putting in a new sidewalk andblack top. This will be fine, but if he buys someagriculture land to attach to the property, the landwould need to be rezoned therefore he would need topurchase with a contingency to rezone.
