January 4th Organizational Board Meeting

January 4, 2018 At 7:00 pm, Supervisor Gayle Ashbery called to order the regular monthly meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Carlton. Present were the following Board members: Councilman John Fitzak, Councilman Dana Woolston. Also present Kurt VanWycke, Highway Supt. and Doug Heath, Town Attorney. Roll call and the Pledge of Allegiance was said. Supervisor Ashbery called Mr. Jeffery Gifaldi to be sworn in and to take his seat on the bench. Supervisor Ashbery called Mrs. Deborah Yockel to be sworn in and to take her seat on the bench. A motion by Mr. Fitzak to approve Attachment #1 section 1 and 2, Appointments by the Town Board seconded by Mr. Gifaldi and carried. A motion by Mr. Fitzak to approve Attachment #2 section 1, Salaries for elected officials seconded by Mr. Woolston and carried. A motion by Mr. Gifaldi to approve Attachment #2 section 2, Salaries for appointed officials seconded by Mrs. Yockel and carried. A motion by Mr. Woolston to approve Attachment #2 section 3, Wages for select positions seconded by Mrs. Yockel and carried. A motion by Mr. Woolston to approve Attachment # 3 Highway Dept. pay schedule and employee benefits seconded by Mr. Fitzak and carried. A motion by Mr. Woolston to set the Town Board meeting for the 2 nd Tuesday of every month at 7pm was seconded by Mr. Gifaldi and carried. A motion by Mr. Fitzak to set the Workshop meeting for the 4 th Thursday of every month at 6:30pm was seconded by Mrs. Yockel and carried. A motion by Mr. Woolston to set the Water pit price at $585.00 each seconded by Mr. Fitzak and carried. A motion by Mr. Gifaldi to set the Water meter price at $ 210.00 each seconded by Mrs. Yockel and carried. A motion by Mr. Fitzak to approve Mr. VanWycke to order 200 Badger water meters at the bulk price was seconded by Mr. Woolston and carried. A motion by Mr. Woolston to approve the updated employee handbook seconded by Mr. Gifaldi and carried. Mrs. Ashbery requested that Mrs. Yockel get information to have new town Credit Cards for the Clerks office and Highway Superintendent. A motion by Mr. Fitzak to renew the Attorney services contract with Heath and Martin seconded by Mr. Woolston and carried. A motion at 7:15pm by Mr. Fitzak to Adjourn, seconded by Mr. Woolston and carried Karen Narburgh, Town Clerk *Attachments on separate upload
