Extension educators work in the communities where they live. They bring their own professional expertise, they build relationships, they listen for emerging needs, and they connect local priorities with the research and resources of the university. That combination is what makes this model work. There ’s no one-size-fits-all. The county shapes what Extension do es through contracts, partnerships, and feedback. Extension educators work across program areas within Extension ’s six institutes, across county lines, and alongside county departments, schools, nonprofits, and local leaders so that they are not duplicating efforts and we ’re making the most of the resources we have. Calumet County decided the scope of Extension ’s work in Calumet County should focus on Positive youth Development. The work is carried out by Carlea Lonergan, 4-H Program Educator and Lori Weber, administrative assistant. ii. Provide UW Extension Impact Report Highlights 1.
