Board of Review Minutes 5152024

City of New Holstein Board of Review City Hall 4:00 P.M. May 15 ,2024 2110 Washington St. The meeting was called to order at 4:00 P.M. by Mayor Snelson. Clerk of the Board of Review, Cullen Peltier, took roll call by name. Present at roll call were Board of Review Members – Steve Abrams, Richard Snelson, Dan Watson, Paula Oakley, and Board of Review Clerk Cullen Peltier. Also present was City Assessor, Kris Bodouski. The Board examined the notices that were posted and published. Election of Chairperson. Snelson called for nominations for Chairperson. Abrams nominated Watson, seconded by Oakley. No additional nominations were made and Snelson moved to close nominations announcing Watson as Chairperson. Election of Vice-Chairperson. Mayor Snelson called for nominations for Vice-Chairperson. Watson nominated Oakley, seconded by Abrams. No additional nominations were made, and Snelson moved to close nominations and announce Oakley as Vice-Chairperson. The Board examined the Affidavits of Attendance of training for Dan Watson. Mayor Snelson reviewed with the Board the functions of the Board of Review. Assessor Kris Bodouski was sworn in by the Board of Review Clerk. The Board examined the assessment roll. The Assessor announced that no changes were made to the Assessment roll during open book. The Assessor provided one correction. The assessor explained that the valuation was done from the blueprints which had a finished basement. The property owner informed the city and the assessor that the basement was not finished. A motion was made by Snelson, seconded by Abrams, and carried to certify the correction provided for parcel 23843. No action taken as no changes were made during open book. Bodouski presented the Assessor’s Annual Report. There being no objectors, Chairperson Watson adjourned the meeting at 6:00 P.M. Cullen Peltier Clerk of the Board of Review
