July 28, 2021 Fire Dept. 1st Res. Long-Range Comm

July 28, 2021 6:30 PM Approved Minutes The committee’s 9th meeting occurred on June 30, 2021 and called to order by Chairperson Ken Schaefer. Committee members in attendance were: Mike Funk and Josh Carney – 2 members appointed to represent the fire department, Kathy Stadtmueller and Haily Joas representing the 1st Responders, Tim Lemke and Tammy Mackai appointed to represent the village and Ken Schaefer and Steve Phipps appointed to represent the town. Members of the public present: Sue Schiesl, Ty Boden. *indicates signed up for public comment. Steve P. indicated the meeting was posted on the town’s behalf. Tim Lemke indicated the meeting was posted on the village’s behalf. Steve P. moved and Josh Carney 2nd the motion to approve the minutes from the June 30, 2021 meeting. M/C. Mike F. moved and Tim L. 2nd the approve the agenda as printed. M/C. General discussion occurred about referendums, timelines, number of plans. Mike Funk moved to have plans for 3 different options drawn by engineers/architects. Steve 2nd the motion. Motion proceeded no further and led to more discussion. Tim moved to request prices on 3 options being: 1. Remodel and addition to the existing building. 2. Fire Dept. and 1st. Responders stand alone building on a different/off site. 3. Fire Dept. and 1st Responders with joint municipal facilities off site. Steve 2nd the motion and motion carried.
