Town Board Meeting — Minutes

Monthly Town Board Meeting – November 5th, 2024 The Town Board of the Town of Brothertown met at 7:00 p.m. at the town hall to audit and pay all bills and take care of agenda items before the board. The meeting was properly announced. All said the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: Chairman: Chuck Schneider, Supervisors: Larry Propson and Doug Marcelle, Treasurer: Lori Fhlug, Highway Supervisor: Logan Schmitz, Clerk: LeAnne Karls and five citizens. Larry Propson made a motion, seconded by Doug Marcelle, to accept the agenda as printed. Motion carried. Larry Propson made a motion, seconded by Doug Marcelle, to accept the minutes of the October 1st, 2024 meeting as read with the correction clarifying that the offer to purchase is in regards to a parcel of land that the town owns on Jefferson Rd. Motion carried. Lori Fhlug gave the Treasurer’s Report for September. Larry Propson made a motion, seconded by Doug Marcelle, to accept the Treasurer’s Report. Motion carried. Bills were presented. Doug Marcelle made a motion, seconded by Larry Propson, approving payment of bills and disbursements for October 2024. Motion carried. There were no citizen comments. Larry Propson made a motion, seconded by Doug Marcelle, approving a Certified Survey Map for Marie Dekker regarding parcel #2801. Motion carried. Larry Propson made a motion, seconded by Doug Marcelle, approving a Class B Beer and Class B Liquor license for Heritage Orchard LLC, to be effective from November 5th, 2024 through June 30th, 2025. Motion carried. Discussion took place regarding the storage shed addition. Project would likely require bidding. Logan is to obtain further information. The town hasn’t had any success recruiting a new Building Inspector/Zoning Administrator. Chairman Schneider will report any updates at the next meeting. Chilton Fire Contract reviewed. Final numbers given. Doug Marcelle made a motion, seconded by Larry Propson, approving the Town of Calumet Fire Contract for years 2024-2027. Motion carried. Logan Schmitz gave the Highway Supervisor Report. Culvert projects for the year are completed and four more to be completed next year. Resurfacing is planned for 2026. Water tanks were also discussed. Building permits were reviewed. Being no further business, Doug Marcelle made a motion, seconded by Larry Propson, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
