TOWN OF NEW HOLSTEIN Town Hall 6:30 PM June 12, 2024 The regular monthly meeting for the Town of New Holstein was called to order at 6:30 pm by Chairman, Ben Henke. Members present: Chairman Ben Henke, Supervisor Dean Konen, Supervisor Len Heimerman, Treasurer Mary Jo Muellenbach, Clerk Samantha Muellenbach Residents present: Doug Franzen, Tim Franzen Non-Residents Present: Travis Halfmann Dan Schmahl, both representing St Anna Sportsman. All recited the pledge of Allegiance. Clerk Muellenbach noted the meeting was properly posted according to WI State Statue. A motion to accept the agenda was made by Supervisor Konen, seconded by Supervisor Heimerman, motion carried. A motion to accept the May 2024 monthly minutes as read was made by Chairman Henke seconded by Supervisor Konen, motion carried. Public Comments: none A motion to approve treasurers’ report was made by Supervisor Konen, seconded by Supervisor Heimerman, motion carried. A motion to accept the bills for payment was made by Chairman Henke, seconded by Supervisor Heimerman, motion carried. A motion to approve the Liquor License and Operators License was made by Supervisor Heimerman, seconded by Chairman Henke, motion carried. Discussed adding an expiration date to permits based on the type of permit needed. Tabled until July 2024 meeting. A motion to accept Ordinance 2024-3 was made by Supervisor Heimerman, seconded by Chairman Henke, motion carried. Discussion of Facebook page was decided to not move forward. A motion to approve the 2024-2025 Salt Order was made by Supervisor Konen, seconded by Chairman Henke, motion carried. A motion to approve The Employee Handbook as presented was made by Chairman Henke, seconded by Supervisor Heimerman, motion carried. Minutes are draft copy until approved at the next board meeting Posted at: W1465 Tecumseh Road, New Holstein; and on the web at: www.townofnewholstein.com A motion to amend the May 2024 meeting approval to update 4 culverts to not exceed $40,000 to now not exceed $60,000 was made by Supervisor Konen, seconded by Chairman Henke, motion carried. Discussed the Salt Shed Project. Tabling until the July 2024 meeting. Discussed the Repairs to Truck #1. Tabling until the July 2024 meeting. A motion to approve the purchasing of racking, not to exceed $1,500 was made by Supervisor Konen, seconded by Supervisor Heimerman, motion carried. A motion to approve the purchasing of a new Lenovo laptop for the treasurer was made by Chairman Henke, seconded by Supervisor Heimerman, motion carried. Discussed cutting trees and brush in the Town right-of-way. Discussed correspondence received. A motion to go into to closed session was made by Chairman Henke, seconded by Supervisor Konen, motion carried. A motion to come out of closed session was made by Chairman Henke, seconded by Supervisor Konen, motion carried.
