Regular Meeting Minutes
March 4, 2026
1. Call to order and pledge. Meeting called to order at 4:00 p.m. followed by the pledge.
2. Report on agenda posting for February 24, 2026. Kelly reported the agenda was posted in accordance
with WI Open Meeting Law
3. Agenda approval for March 4, 2026. Motion by Sue, second by Linnea to approve the agenda. All in
favor 7:0
4. Approve February 24, 2026 regular meeting minutes. Motion by David, second by Pat to approve the
minutes. All in favor 5:0 (Sue and Rick abstained as they were not at that meeting)
5. Review Tomahawk Monument etching proof. Tim Haskins, owner of Tomahawk Monument Company,
attended the meeting. He presented his final proof of the memorial to the members for review that
included the entry monuments and name wall. Members requested removing the Merchant Marine
emblem from the entry monument; adding both a comma and Inc. after Bodart Electrical Services
and adding Tomahawk Monument Company to the second monument front; adding Special
thanks to Public Works Director Josh Paetow to the back of the second monument; centering the
wording on the KIA/POW/MIA monument rather than having two columns; and Tim went through
a few names he had questions on with the members. Tim noted if this project sticks to the
production schedule, it could be ready for a 5/15/26 install.
6. Discuss bench inscription, fundraising, and kiosk. Members are honoring Ed Starke with one of the
four benches, and the inscription needs to be finalized. Fundraising and kiosks will be discussed
at a future meeting.
7. Any updates on VM site. Linnea briefed the members on the concerns of plantings between the sidewalk
and monuments that are shown on the landscape plan from M&K Landscaping that still needs discussion
and approval. Pavers would be a possible replacement for plantings, and Tim Haskins mentioned he
would be able to order matching unpolished granite for that purpose if needed.
8. Public Comments None
9. Adjourn Next meeting March 25
th at 4:00 p.m. Motion by Kelly, second by Junior to adjourn at 5:00
