Mark Barden from Town & Country Engineering distributed an updated map and plans for the infrastructure to go 32
under Shepard Lake Road as discussed last month. He explained why some changes were made and discussed the 33
culvert issue. An agreement for maintenance, etc., had been drawn up by the city’s attorney and covers the road 34
restoration and future maintenance of Shepard Lake Road for that short distance. Bids will be put out with opening of 35
bids in May and construction starting June or July or possibly later in the year. Road closure will be necessary except 36
at night when crews aren’t working. A homeowner in attendance was concerned due to elderly parents living on that 37
stretch of road and was assured that he would be able to get them in and out as needed and for any emergency 38
services. If the town receives any calls from concerned residents, those calls should be directed to Mark. Updates 39
will be done for the public and the town in several places (newspaper, Facebook, city website, etc.) Pine Lake will be 40
notified of the pre-construction meeting. Jim had contacted the town’s attorney to review the agreement but was 41
unable to get an answer prior to the board meeting. Discussion. Motion by Brian Gehrig to approve the plans and the 42
agreement contingent upon the town’s attorney reviewing the agreement and his approval or with any changes. The 43
town chairman can then sign the agreement or amended agreement. Second by Ron Lueneburg. Motion carried by 44
voice vote. 45
