AGENDA NOTICE THE BOARD OF REVIEW FOR THE CITY OF EAGLE RIVER WILL CONVENE ON FRIDAY MAY 8, 2026 FROM 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM AT CITY HALL, 525 E. MAPLE STREET IN EAGLE RIVER. 1. Call Board of Review (BOR) to order & Meeting Recording Announcement 2. Roll Call. 3. Confirmation of appropriate Board of Review and open meeting notices 4. Appointment of Chairperson of Board of Review 5. Appointment of Vice-Chairperson of Board of Review 6. Verification of mandatory training of one member 7. Verification the City has an ordinance for the confidentiality of income and expense information provided to the assessor under state law Sec 70.47(7)(af) 8. Review of the Assessor’s level of assessment 9. Receipt of the Assessment Roll by Clerk from the Assessor 10. Receive the Assessment Roll and sworn statements from Clerk 11. Review the Assessment Roll and perform Statutory duties: a. Examine the roll b. Correct description or calculation errors c. Add omitted property d. Eliminate double assessed property 12. Discussion/Action – Certify all corrections of error under state law, Sec 70.43 13. Discussion/Action – Verify with the assessor that open book changes are included in assessment roll 14. Allow taxpayers to examine the assessment data 15. Consideration of: a. Waivers of the required 48-hour notice of intent to file an objection when there is good cause b. Requests for waiver of the BOR hearing allowing the property owner to appeal directly to circuit court c. Requests to testify by telephone or submit sworn written statements d. Act on any other legally allowed/required Board of Review matters 16. Review Notices of Intent to File Objection 17. Proceed to hear objections, if any, and if proper notice/waivers were given unless scheduled for another date 18. Consider/act on scheduling additional Board of Review Date(s) if needed 19. Acceptance of the 2026 Assessment Roll 20.
