Minutes of Boulder Junction Economic Development Committee MeetingWednesday February 18, 20268:30 a.m.Boulder Junction Community Center Our Mission: To explore, develop and promote opportunities and investment options supporting our economic development objectives while enhancing community prosperity.MINUTES1)CALL TO ORDER-PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE-ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. by Steve Weber (Co-Chair) followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was done. Present were Bill Spear, Steve Weber, Nathan Keisler, Mary Jones, Kevin Mantz, Dylan Schutt, Ian Brown and Steve Coon. Absent Kevin Gutjahr. GUESTS: Mike MacKenzie, Randy Schultz and Katie Krause.2)APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA: at the Chair’s Discretion (discussion & possible action). MOTION/Keisler SECOND/Brown MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.3)APPROVAL OF January 7, 2026, MEETING MINUTES (discussion & possible action). MOTION Schutt SECOND/Jones MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.4)WELCOME GUESTS: Mike MacKenzie. Randy Schultz and Katie Krause.5)UNFINISHED BUSINESS:a) Community Reporting: Boulder Jct Brewery is off to good start. Winter Park has been busy. Katie Krause is the new owner of the laundry mat.b) Work Group Updates: Station group is targeting 2027 for fundraising. Spring/summer of 2026 will be engagement meetings. c) Strategic Plan Update: Draft circulated with updates from 2024. Will be reviewed at March meeting. 6)NEW BUSINESS: a)Economic Benefit Survey. Mary Jones reviewed the Heart of the North bike Trail economic impact study. Copies will be circulated. Looking at a similar study for BJ Winter Park. 7) REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: Room tax update, High School internship program. Business owner presentation (lodging?) 8) CONFIRM DATE, TIME AND LOCATION OF NEXT MEETING (discussion & possible action). Next scheduled meeting March 18, 2026.
