Minutes of Boulder Junction Economic Development Committee Meeting Wednesday January 7, 2026 8:30 a.m. Boulder Junction Community Center Our Mission: To explore, develop and promote opportunities and investment options supporting our economic development objectives while enhancing community prosperity. MINUTES 1) CALL TO ORDER-PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE-ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. by Bill Spear (Co-Chair) followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll call was done. Present were Bill Spear, Steve Weber, Nathan Keisler, Mary Jones, Cherie Sanderson, Wendi Neupert and Anne Derber. Absent with Notice Steve Coon and Dick Jenks GUESTS: Mike MacKenzie and Kate Frisk 2) APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA: at the Chair’s Discretion (discussion & possible action). MOTION/Weber SECOND/Derber MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 3) APPROVAL OF December 3, 2025, MEETING MINUTES (discussion & possible action). MOTION Weber SECOND/Neupert MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 4) WELCOME GUESTS: Mike MacKenzie and Kate Frisk 5) UNFINISHED BUSINESS: a) Monthly report on Committee Budget: 2026 budget $3,000 b) Monthly Communities Reporting: Midwest Living magazine had an article on the Glide. Vilas Bike Trail Economic Survey will be released. c) Updates from task groups. 6) NEW BUSINESS: a) Workshop to review Strategic Plan 7) REQUEST FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: economic impact of Glide and Winter Park 8) CONFIRM DATE, TIME AND LOCATION OF NEXT MEETING (discussion & possible action). Next scheduled meeting February 18, 2026.
