Minutes of Boulder Junction Park Board Meeting Thursday,October 16th,2025 4pm Boulder Junction Community Center, Nordloff Room Call to Order/Pledge of Allegiance/Roll Call: Meeting called to order at 4pm by Laura Bertch (Chair) who led the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call/ Present: Laura Bertch, ,Dennis Duke , Steve Weber, Judy Tegtmeyer excused absence , Richard Jenks- , Pete Burditt. Royer 2) Approval of Agenda / Order of the day: Motion/Weber, Second/Burditt Motion carried. 3) Citizens opportunity to address the committee about topics on or off the agenda. Guests: Cherie Sanderson, Kate Frisk, and Dennis Reuss, Town chair. 4) Approval of Meeting Minutes 9/17/2025 Motion/Burditt, Second/Weber Motion carried 5) Review of most recent financial report: August 2025. No comments. 6) BJCF approximate balance as of 5/27/2025: $4,800, Maintenance fund 7) Old Business: (discussion and possible action) A. Library request: 1. Request to have book walk plowed in the winter. For discussion and possible action. Per Reuss, town crew will keep cleared. B. Friends of the Park- updates or questions. 1. Grant with Green Bay Packers for the Glide- Submitted August 3rd. No response 2. Flyer for Winter Park, discussion and possible action. Approval needed by BJCF, Mary Van Grinsven. To be posted on web page. 3.Clean up day at Winter Park November 8. Tentative opening day December 20th, depending on status of Glide. C. Town Park Dennis -Duke & Pete Burditt - updates 1. Basketball court. Bricks to be laid Spring 2.Park Board Celebration - deferred. 3. Disc golf report update: Playable with some mulching to be done. Signs all up and Kiosk. Benches placed. a. Press release- Grand opening. Discussion possible action. May 2026 b. Additional baskets. For discussion and possible action. Purchase 18 additional baskets from Ace Hardware, Woodruff. Pending budget from Dan Motion/Weber, Second/ Burditt. Motion carried. 4. Discussion and possible action - baseball diamond project.Bases pulled and Corey complete surfacing/conditioning. Will revisit in spring. D. Steve Weber & Royer questions and discussion? 1. New vinyl sign for Winter Park entrance (Home of the Glide) Amanda will do the design. 2. Green Bay Packers for grant for Glide. No update 3. Discussion of completion of items previously detailed. Weber presented written breakdown presented to board members. 4. Status of warming hut remodel. Completed 5. Will use Lions’ metal benches which were used last year. 6. Discussion and possible action for new items. None E. Nichols Beach Park- Dick Jenks & Judy Tegtmeyer - questions & discussions. 1. Erosion- update. Town Crew to address 2.Secure picnic tables. No 3. Trash/ garbage. No 4. Repair picnic tables. Not necessary at this point. F. Park vision statements. Laura, Steve, and Dennis Reuss to meet 1. Summary of the differences between LUA’s to achieve more uniformity. Meeting with Beth TBD 2. Signage suggestions. Discussion and possible suggestions to be included in each LUA for each site. G. Copy right and Trademark for names & logos for the Glide and Tall Pines- for discussion and possible action. Laura and Steve to schedule another meeting 8.)
