Special Town Board and Airport Commission Meeting — Minutes

Town of Land O’ Lakes Town Board and Airport Commission Meeting Minutes August 20, 2026, 5:00 PM – 5:49 PM Town Hall, 4331 County Rd B, Land O' Lakes, WI 54540, USA I. Call to Order Supervisor Konnow called the Town Board and Airport Commission Meeting to order on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 5:00 PM at 4331 CTH B, Land O' Lakes, WI 54540. II. Roll Call Present: Town Supervisors: Sam Otterpohl and Kevin Konnow, Clerk/Treasurer Lynn Jolin Airport Commission members: Joe Garvin, John Voss, Jim Stops, Fred Prehn and Dan Wait. Town Chairman Dan Balog joined the meeting at 5:25pm III. Approve or Revise Agenda Motion to approve the agenda was made by Fred Prehn, seconded by K. Konnow. Motion carried unanimously. IV. New Business a) Convene into closed session in accordance with Wis Statutes 19.85(1)( c) for consideration, employment, promotion, hours, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercise responsibility relating to employment opportunities. b) Convene into closed session in accordance with Wis Statutes 19,85(1) (b) for considering dismissal, demotion, licensing or discipline of any public employee or person licensed by a board or commission or the investigation of charges against such person and the taking of formal action Motion to go into closed session in accordance with Wis Statutes 19.85(1)( c) for consideration, employment, promotion, hours, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercise responsibility relating to employment opportunities and to convene into closed session in accordance with Wis Statutes 19,85(1) (b) for considering dismissal, demotion, licensing or discipline of any public employee or person licensed by a board or commission or the investigation of charges against such person and the taking of formal action was made by Fred Prehn and seconded by Kevin Konnow. Motion carried 7-0. Discussion was had on the Airport Manager position. Motion to terminate employment of Bruce Garrison as Airport Manager for the Town of Land O’ Lakes was made by Jim Stops, second by Joe Garvin. Further discussion on the manager position. Vote: Jim Stops-Yes, Joe Garvin-Yes, Dan Wait-Yes, John Voss-No, Fred Prehn- Yes. Motion carried 4-1. c) Reconvene into open session to report on any possible action resulting from closed session. Motion to reconvene into open session was made by Fred Prehn, seconded by Jim Stops. Vote 7-0. Airport Commission voted to terminate Bruce Garrison as Airport Manager for the Town of Land O’ Lakes.
