Including board members 6 properties were represented.A quorum was met.Cisco Chain Lake District Annual Membership MeetingThe Cisco Chain Lake District (CCLD) Annual meeting was called to order by Steve Kessler at 9:45 AM. Steve stated that notification of this meeting was forwarded to Lynn Jolin, Land O’Lakes Town Clerk, on June 14 for posting on the Town’s web site and bulletin board. Additionally, a meeting notice was mailed, via US Mail, to all CCLD members on approximately June 19. Consequently, the requirement that members be notified at least 15 days prior to the meeting has been met. The Board of Commissioners reviewed the proposed 2027 budget at the Annual Board Meeting on June 17, 2026. At that meeting the Board voted in favor of recommending to the general membership that the budget be approved. Steve reviewed budget details with the membership. The CCLD Budget has total revenue of $136,000 and total expenses of $136,000. The budgeted cost of herbicide treatments in the 2027 budget is only $20,000 as compared to $60,000 in the 2026 budget and $110,000 in the 2025 budget. The downward trend in herbicide treatments represents a “return to normal”.Motion to approve the budget was made by Jack Adamic and seconded by Francie Stoner. The ayes carried the vote.The Board of Commissioners also discussed the need for an assessment in 2027 at the June 17 Annual Board Meeting. At that meeting the Board voted in favor of recommending to the general membership that a 2027 $100 assessment be made. This assessment would be included on property tax bills received by property owners in late 2026.A motion to assess each CCLD member $100 was made by Francie Stoner and seconded by Ron Buczkiewicz. The ayes carried the vote. Ron Buczkiewicz and Paul Steinbrecher were both nominated for new three-year terms at the June 17 Annual Board Meeting. Steve opened the floor for any additional nominations and there were none. Francie Stoner moved that Ron and Paul be elected for new three-year terms and Pat Ellis seconded the motion. The ayes carried.Carol Steinbrecher moved to adjourn, Jack Adamic seconded the motion, and the meeting was adjourned at 9:54 am.
