Planning and Beautification Committee Minutes July 15, 2026 I. Pledge of Allegiance II. Introduction of guests- o guests III. Approval of June 10 meeting minutes- first by.Cheri, second by Frank IV. Approval of July 15,2026 agenda- first by Barb, second by Frank V. Old business A. Pollinator garden- looking good B. Apple orchard- 3 trees will be replaced in spring. Frank to order from Bob Spiering orchard in Phelps. New gate is installed. He will try to give another lecture on bare root trees with a newspaper article beforehand. C. Walking trail- nothing new D. In town plantings - natives planted in Leo Lang garden. Educational markers will be placed there. Businesses are taking care of the in town planters nicely, Deer spray is working. E. Lake banners- the new hanger replaced the broken one and banner rehung. Thanks town crew ! F. Budget to date- $6009.48( includes 923.41 for Storybook garden) G. Christmas decorations H. Fall decorations- will be using old scarecrows but not replacing them. Looking for new ideas to use more pumpkins and mums. I. Recurring maintenance 1. Mowing- done 2. Trim sidewalk and walking trail/ done 3. Trash cans for events- trash cans put out by town crew for the 4th. New Arts Committee cans not finished yet. 4. Turn water on /off- Greenlawn called to check 5. Veterans flags 6. Orchard gate- done 7. Sign on Hwy 45- town crew said they won’t be able to redo sign, we voted to hire Mr. Pasternak for $600. VI.
