Sanitary District Meeting — Minutes

Land O’ Lakes Sanitary District #1 Minutes of Meeting July 14, 2026 The meeting was called to order at 10:04 am by Chairman, Kevin Konnow. Proper notice of the meeting was given. In attendance were Kevin Konnow-Chairman, Mike McAdams-Treasurer, Melissa Spiotto-Secretary, Chad Lederer-Operator and Casey Vold-Sanitary Clerk/Assistant Operator. Minutes of the previous meeting(s) (June 9, 2026) were reviewed. Melissa Spiotto made a motion to accept the minutes, second by Kevin Konnow. Vote 3-0. Motion carried. Mike McAdams presented the Treasurer’s Report. Kevin Konnow made a motion to accept the Treasurer's Report, second by Melissa Spiotto. Vote 3-0. Motion carried. Casey Vold presented the Office Report. Board reviewed Office Report. Meters were read June 30, 2026. Statements were sent out June 30, 2026. Meters will be read again July 30, 2026. The checking and savings accounts were reconciled on July 7, 2026. The updated water tower rental agreements were mailed to the existing organizations on June 10, 2026. The Compliance Maintenance Annual Report (CMAR) was submitted to the DNR and certified on June 10, 2026. The third quarter Rural Mutual insurance payment was made on June 15, 2026, in the amount of $2,920.00. The bi-annual Optimization and Maintenance Report was submitted by MSA Engineering to the DNR on June 29, 2026. Second quarter tax reports were filed on July 7, 2026. Invoice from Cummins Sales and Services for the radiator replacement on the WWTF backup generator was paid on July 7, 2026, in the amount of $6,039.12. Loan papers from Headwaters State Bank for the water tower repairs were signed on July 10, 2026 and deposited to the primary checking account the same day in the amount of $147,891.00. The invoices that have been received from Lane Tank at this time are in the amounts of $97,119.00 and $30,762.00. These invoices were paid on July 13, 2026. There will be a small balance owed to Land Tank upon their completion of the final report. The final invoice from Municipal Well & Pump for the portable tank rental, and other equipment used while the tower was off line, was received and paid on July 13, 2026, in the amount of $14,900.00. Chad Lederer presented the Operator’s Report. Board reviewed Operator’s Report. A new 2” meter, encoder and endpoint were ordered and received for Frontier Builders. Total cost was $1,809.11. Invoice was paid on July 7, 2026. Two meters have been delivered to 6459 Spruce Rd. The licensed plumber has not yet installed them. Lane Tank has completed the repairs on the water tower. The tower has been cleared by the DNR and was put back on line on July 10, 2026. Municipal Well & Pump has picked up the portable tank and other rental equipment. The generator repair was completed on July 2, 2026, and is working great. There are no known customer issues at this time. All mandatory reports have been completed on time and copies filed in the office. Old Business: ● Update on Water Tower Project . See the above office and operator reports for updates on the repairs and the payments. A general payment on the loan for $1,258.55 is scheduled to auto deduct from the primary checking account on the 10th of each month. The board will review the budget at the scheduled August meeting and decide whether it is possible to pay more towards the monthly payment. ● Update on Fluoride Discussion . Karen Weaver from the Tackle Box has provided some information and has requested the board review it. Each board member was provided with a copy of the information.
