Beautification Meeting — Minutes

Planning and Beautification Committee Minutes June 11, 2026 Present:Debbie Hintz, Barbara Nehring, Cheri Hughes, Sue Grueter. Frank Marfia by phone I. Pledge of allegiance was said II. No guests were present III. Approval of May 19, 2026 minutes- first by Frank, second by Barb IV. Approval of June 11,2026 agenda- first by Cheri, second by Sue V. Old business- A. Pollinator garden- Rod set up water connector, will keep eye on flowers B. Orchard/ Frank fertilized trees, will do again in June. Spring pruning was done . 2 trees will be replaced next year. Austen Ramesh from Borderworks is working on getting the orchard gate installed. C. Walking trail-Arts committee put a rotating sculpture near the entrance. Debbie will look at the sign as there was some vandalism to it . D. In town plantings- Sue did a great job! Sheila also did a great job on the ones by town hall. Sue and Debbie working on wood chip removal and putting compost down around town hall. Watering schedule for around town hall; Sue June 12 weekend Debbie June 19 weekend Cheri June 26 weekend Nancy July 4 weekend Sue July 11 weekend More to be assigned at July meeting E. Lake banners -frame broken across from Bel -Aire. Debbie will call Diane to order new one. F. Budget- $3,209.13 spent to date G. Christmas decorations H. Fall decorations I. Recurring maintenance 1. Mowing- needs to be done at marker 2. Trim sidewalks/ walking trail 3. Trash cans for events - check with Arts to see when they will put out 4. Turn water on/off- water is on 5. Veterans flags/ Cheri working with VFW and has contact info for masking flags 6. Flower area around town hall- Debbie and Sue still working on 7.Orchard gate update- see above 8. Lines on Hwy B- Dan Balog said they are working on it 9. Sign on Hwy 45- Dan Balog said town crew would refinish it. VI. New business VII. Any other pertinent info VIII.
