Planning and Beautification Committee Minutes April 29, 2026 In attendance: Debbie Hintz, CheriHughes, Frank Marfia I. Pledge of Allegiance II. Introduction of guests III. Approval of November 12,2025 minutes- first by Frank, second by Cheri IV. Approval of April 29,2026 agenda- first by Frank, second by Cheri V. Old business A. Pollinator garden- nothing new yet B. Apple orchard- Frank will be pruning soon. It takes about 3 hours. Cheri told him of a potential volunteer to help. The gate will be unlocked soon. Debbie will call Austen Ramesh’s gate company to inquire about getting a 6’ by 4’ gate for the orchard/pollinator garden. It needs to have narrow slats to keep critters out. Can open in the middle or sides. Frank came up with wordage for a history/info sign for the orchard. We will Ai it to clean it up and discuss with Grasslakes imaging about the material to use. More small apple label signs are needed. Over 800 +apples were picked last year. C. Walking trail- Arts Committee is working on getting more sculptures on the trail. D. In town plantings- will check with Northscape E. Lake banners- Debbie picked up new banners(3) from GrassLakes Imaging. F. Budget spent to date- $1547.63 was spent to date. G. Christmas decorations- taken down in February H. Fall decorations I. Recurring maintenance 1. Mowing 2. Trash cans for events- Arts Committee will have out by Memorial Day. 3. Trim sidewalks / walking trail 4. Turn water on- Debbie to remind Greenlawn 5. Veteran flags- Cheri to check with Sam Otterpohl for update. VI. New business A. Set date to clean town hall shrub areas- May 20, 11 am, weather permitting B. COC membership- Debbie to check with Aaron Houdini on associate membership VII. Any other pertinent business A.
