Land O’ Lakes Public Library Board of Trustees Minutes of April 8, 2026 1. Call to Order: Meeting called to order by Greg Wenzel at 9:05 am 2. Establish that Proper Notice has been given 3. Quorum established a. Roll Call and introduction of guest, if any b. Trustees Present: Greg Wenzel, Marcie Thorp, Jone Davis, Bernie Heindl, Donna Murray-Tiedge c. Absent Excused: Bob Hughes, Mary Jo Zane d. Also in Attendance: Shelly Knaack, Heidi Reuter 4. Approval of Secretary’s Minutes a. Motion by Bernie Heindl, second by Greg Wenzel to approve the minutes from the meeting, motion carried 5. Treasurer’s Report a. Financial Report i. Motion by Jone Davis second by Donna Murray-Tiedge, to approve the financial report, motion carried b. Check Authorization i. Motion by Donna Murray-Tiedge, second by Bernie Heindl, to approve the payment of bills, motion carried c. Unified Budget - Q1 i. shared and discussed 6. Director’s Report a. Statistics shared b. Every Bunny Reads had about 100 kids, 250 people c. Cracker/Dips and Spreads was a great program d. Bar Cookie Crawl had low attendance, switching it up for next year e. Upcoming Programs i. April 13th—Puzzle Challenge at 4:30- room for one more team ii. April 16th: Movie: Song Sung Blue at 1 PM and 6:30 PM iii. April 27 & 28- closed for Inventory iv. April 29 & 30: Refurbished Laptop Giveaway 2:00 PM – 6 PM on the 29th and 10 AM – 4 PM on the 30th f. Ongoing Programs i. Mahjongg on Tuesdays at 1 PM, Storytime on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 10:30 AM, Lego Club at 3:30 PM on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays. Library Explorers (homeschool group) on the 9th and 23rd of April. g. Karen and Shelly will be attending the CCBC event in Gilman, WI h. Shelly gets to be a Libby Selector, she gets to pick books in the non-fiction and literary fiction section. 7. Maintenance Report a. on going problem with the back door i. had a person to work on it and are not hearing back from them b. still waiting to hear back from David on the front door, gentle reminder sent c. Daniel works hard when he is here, couple lights and sensors to put in 8. Old Business a. Volunteer Appreciation i. Forest Lake Country Store location ii. invitations will be sent to all volunteers iii. 5 apps for food iv. May 7th 4:30 9. New Business a. Staff Vacation, Sick and Comp Time i. shared with board for information purposes 10. Committee Reports a. Friends i. nothing to report ii. meeting in May b. Town i.
