Town of Land O’ Lakes Special Town Board Meeting Minutes February 5 th , 2026 Call to order Chairman Dan Balog called the Special Town Board Meeting to order at 1:02pm. Roll call Present: Chairman Dan Balog, Supervisors Sam Otterpohl and Kevin Konnow, Clerk/Treasurer Lynn Jolin. Attorney Matthew Yde present. Approve or Revise Agenda Motion to approve the agenda as printed was made by Supervisor Otterpohl, seconded by Chairman Balog. Motion carried unanimously. New business a.) Convene into closed session in accordance with Wis Statutes 19.85 (1)(g) Conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved —“Notice of Circumstances Giving Rise to Claim and Claim Pursuant to Wis. Stat. 893.80 drafted by Weld Riley, S.C. on September 17, 2025 on behalf of Shawn and Erin Hill and Brian and Nancy Travis challenging the validity of the Town’s Ordinance Restricting Certain Artificial Wake Enhancement”. Motion to go into closed session in accordance with Wis Statutes 19.85 (1)(g) was made by Supervisor Otterpohl, seconded by Supervisor Konnow. Motion carried unanimously. b.) Reconvene into open session to take action resulting from closed session. Motion to reconvene into open session was made by Supervisor Otterpohl, seconded by Supervisor Konnow. Motion carried unanimously. The claim is disallowed automatically by state statutes as the 120 day time frame has lapsed from the date of the Notice of Claim.
