Beautification Committee — Minutes

Land O’ Lakes Planning and Beautification Committee Minutes October 14, 2025 ________________________________________________________ Present: Sue Grueter, Barb Nehring, Debbie Hintz, Cheri Hughes. Frank Marfia by phone, Lynn Jolin I. Pledge of Allegiance was said II. Introduction of guests- none III. Approval of August 23,2025 minutes- first by Cheri, second by Sue IV. Approval of Oct 14 , 2025 agenda- first by Sue, second by Cheri V. Old business A. Pollinator garden- Looks great. Thanks to Rod Sharka B. Apple orchard- 600 apples were picked and given to the food pantry. There are a few left, which will be picked soon. C. Walking trail- sculpture is in. Blue granite to be ordered by Arts Committee to be put down by sculpture. D. In town plantings- all in. E. Lake banners F. Budget spent to date- $5,319.09 G. Christmas decorations- Lynn Kahlenberg to do and will be put up in November. H. Fall decorations- are up . Will be taken down weather dependent , in November. I. Recurring maintenance 1. Mowing around town markers 2. Trash cans for events- Arts Committee to put one near playground. Sue will check. 3. Trim around sidewalks and walking trail- done 4. Turn water on/off- Greenlawn did. VI. New business A. 2026 budget- Debbie and Cheri will present the budget 10/15 to town board. Requesting $ 12,300 for 2026. VII. Volunteers for P&B- always needed and welcome VIII.
