Budget Hearing for Proposed 2024 Town of Angelica Budget November 13, 2023 Town Officials Present: Chairperson James Przybylski, Supervisors Greg Van Asten and Brian Eckberg, Treasurer Lisa Matuszak, and Clerk Connie Przybylski Others Present: Susan Pomprowitz The Budget Hearing was opened at 6: 00 p.m. by Town Chair, James Przybylski . [Clerk’s Note: P osting of the Budget Summary and Noti ce of Public Budget Hearing was done on Oc tober 25, 2023 at the town hall, Krakow Post Office and also put on the town’s website .] A copy of the proposed 20 24 budget was available to all those in attendance. The Chair opened the hearing and went over the proposed budget and then asked if there were questions from those present. The proposed tax levy of $4 52,838.00 for 2023 taxes was arrived at by using a mil rate of $ 2.507878 per thousand. The Statement of Assessment for the Town of Angelica showed an Aggregate Assessed Valuation of $180,566,200. The levy is within the State of Wisconsin tax levy limit. The special to wn meeting was brought to order immediately following the Budget Hearing. [Clerk’s note: The notice of the meeti ng had been posted on October 25, 2023 at the town hall , Krakow Post Office, and was posted on the town’s website] (1) MOTION (Lisa Matuszak /Susan Pomprowitz /PASSED UANIMOUSLY) to approve the 2024 Budget as presented at the budget hearing. (2) MOTION (Susan Pomprowitz/Lisa Matuszak/PASSED UANIMOUSLY) that the Town Tax Levy for 2023 taxes (to be paid in 2024) to be $452,838.00. MOTION (Susan Pomprowitz/Connie Przybylski/PASSED UNANIMOUSLY) to close the special town meeting.
