SPECIAL POLICE AND FIRE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES WEDNESDAY , SEPTEMBER 2, 2026 6:00PM 108 N CAPRON ST – 2ND FLOOR COUNCIL CHAMBER – BERLIN, WI Call to order/roll call - Present: Ron Ross, Gary Podoll, Morgan Monohan and Denise Krentz Excused: Keith Hess Also Present: Jessi Balcom, City Administrator Seat Virtual Attendees (if necessary). None. General Public Comments. None. Motion to convene into closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat. §19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility (1) Discussion of Police Chief search/appointment. Motion made by Krentz and seconded by Monohan. Roll Call vote carried (4 aye, 0 no). Closed session commenced at 6:01PM. Motion to convene into open session and take any appropriate action necessary as a result of closed session discussions. Motion made by Krentz and seconded by Monohan. Roll call vote carried (4 aye, 0 no). Open session commenced at 6:07PM. Motion made by Monohan and seconded by Krentz to approve an employment agreement for the Police Chief.
