Balcom, provided the group with an update regarding the Green Lake County nutrition program. They have decided that
a much more economically viable solution can be found elsewhere. No further action will be taken by the City regarding
the nutrition program bids for the 2026/2027 years. Hanan inquired if there was a nutrition service “backup plan” in
place. Balcom assured the group that the County will have a backup plan. Kiener also assured the group that the current
kitchen services will continue on. Hanan inquired as to the meal reservation timeline and its possible changes. Kiener
stated that the issue is “Still T.B.D.”. Kiener also asked the committee for “any volunteers” to help out on Wednesdays for
a ½ hour to 45 minutes, even if for just one day a month. Balcom then proceeded to inform the group of the recent
changes coming to the “Agenda Format”, specifically eliminating “Updates”. Any issues, either old/new, must appear on
the agenda to be discussed.
