SPECIAL COMMON COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES JUNE 9, 2026 AT 6:30PM COUNCIL CHAMBERS, BERLIN CITY HALL, 2ND FLOOR MEETING IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC & CITY HALL IS HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE 1. Call to order/Roll Call Mayor Burgess called the meeting to order at 6:30PM. Alderpersons Cauley, Hill, Klawitter, Przybyl, and Sorenson present; Alderperson Stobbe absent. 2. Seat Virtual Attendees (if necessary) None. 3. The City Council may convene in closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat. §19.85(1)(g) to confer with the City Attorney who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved; specifically concerning the claim made by Sherry Newbold, and related legal procedures. Motion to go into closed session pursuant to Wis. Stats. 19.85 (1) (g) confer with the City Attorney who is rendering oral or written advise concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation in which it is or is likely to become involved; specifically concerning the claim made by Sherry Newbold, and related legal procedures made by Alderperson Hill at 6:31pm with a second by Alderperson Przybyl. Roll call vote carried. 4. Immediately following the closed session, the City Council will reconvene into open session and may take such action as it deems appropriate regarding the matters discussed in closed session. Alderperson Hill made a motion to disallow insurance claim number WM00069206006 and provide Notice of Disallowance to Ms. Newbold and Attorney Gollick with a second by Alderperson Przybyl. Voice vote carried. 5. Adjourn. Motion to adjourn made by Alderperson Hill at 6:50pm with a second by Alderperson Sorenson. Voice vote carried.
